"The art of writing is the art of discovering what you believe."
- Gustave Flaubert
When we hear the world famous name Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., many things may come to mind: His passionate speeches, outrageous courage, maybe even his exciting charisma all for the cause of equal rights for man whether he be black, white, rich, or poor. He dedicated his life to a cause, a cause that made him famous, a cause that showed how incredibly brave and kind he was, and a cause that ultimately killed him. We've all heard of the famous lines, "I have a dream". And most of us have experienced the powerful effects of the words spoken at the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 1963 through video. King had a dream that one day man and women, white and black, rich and poor, would all be seen as equal. As a society we haven't come to a perfect where everyone is seen as equal, and racism is still apparent today, but I believe King would be proud of some of the strives we have made, most of which he started.
"Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land!"

Christmas... a time to come together and love one another. Well, I spent Christmas break watching TV in an empty house. The lights are pretty and congrats to Jesus and his birth, but Christmas has just lost it's touch to me. Maybe I'm at that weird teenager stage where nothing in the world matters except for me, but whatever it is, I enjoyed getting some bomb new clothes but it ends there... literally... The End.
