"The art of writing is the art of discovering what you believe."
- Gustave Flaubert
In class, we've been calling in question God's immutability. Not in a bad way, but in a "for argument's sake" sort of way. So, here's the facts that we know:
And now, some opinion logic: God cannot change in the sense that since God created time, he is outside of time itself; I know, this is some science fiction stuff here. Also God is perfect, therefore God cannot change with his traits or else he wouldn't be God. And finally, God is omniscient, so he may change his mind about a specific situation but he knows the final outcome of everything so it might not count. The important takeaway: God's character will not change; he is the same today, tomorrow, and eternity. We can trust God and the fact that he loves us is forever. The final conclusion: God is immutable (non-changing) and we should take comfort in this.
